Business Licenses
Except for new ownership, whenever anything about your business changes, fill out a new Business License Application/Update Form and return it to the Town Clerk’s Office with the $14.00 processing fee.

If your business does not fit into 1 of the specific categories, then you will pay the General Business License fee plus the processing fee.

If your business is within town limits then your application will be reviewed by the Town's Development Services Department, Building Department, and the Chino Valley Fire District Fire Marshall, and can take up to 15 business days. If your business is outside of town limits then your application will be reviewed by the Development Services Department only. Anyone located within or outside of the Chino Valley town limits, who engages in any business activity within the town limits needs a business license. “Business Activity” is defined as any activity or act, personal or corporate, engaged in or caused to be engaged in, with the object of gain, benefit or advantage, either directly or indirectly.Business Licenses

As of October 1, 2008, the “Legal Arizona Workers Act” requires individuals (sole proprietors) and non-statutory partnerships/associations to provide proof of lawful presence in the U.S. before the Town can issue a business license.Business Licenses

A vocation, trade or profession that is conducted entirely within the home by member(s) of the family, and that does not alter the residential character of the surrounding neighborhood. Only home businesses within the Town limits need to so indicate on the Business License application. Before applying for your business license, you should contact the Development Services Department to determine if your proposed home business is permitted.Business Licenses

One year from the month that your license was issued. All renewal fees are due by the last day of the month and become delinquent after the 5th of the following month. For example, if your license was issued on May 20, 2015, your renewal will be due May 31, 2016, and your renewal will become delinquent on June 6, 2016.Business Licenses

Licenses are not transferable. If you sell your business, please contact us, and also inform the new owner that they are required to apply again for a new license.Business Licenses

Please contact us if you no longer intend to conduct business in Town. If we do not hear from you, we are required to send letters reminding you of your renewal delinquency and revocation. We would rather not have to send such letters and we are sure you would rather not receive them, so do contact us by phone, email or fax.Business Licenses

When a position becomes open for external recruitment the Town of Chino Valley Human Resources Department will post the position using various media avenues, such as the Chino Valley Review, Prescott Courier, the Town website and Arizona League website to name a few. When you request a job application you can also view the job description on the Town's website which lists the duties, responsibilities, and education/experience required of the position. You must be certain your application is received in Human Resources by 5:00 p.m. Arizona time on the closing date.Human Resources

You may obtain an application and job description from the Town website or stop by the Human Resources Department located at 202 N. State Route 89, Chino Valley, AZ 86323. In order for your application to receive the consideration it deserves, it is very important that you fill out the application completely and attach a resume. Do not state "see resume" when asked to describe your responsibilities and experience. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of information you provide on the application itself.Human Resources
