The Utility Division and its employees are committed to delivering the highest quality water that meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements to every customer at fair and reasonable rates. We remain vigilant in meeting the challenges of protecting our sole water source that is the heart of our community, our way of life and our children's future.
The Utility Division will strive to be an innovative leader in the water utility industry by utilizing the concept of employee education, community water conservation and education programs and infrastructure improvement.
Responsibilities
The Utility Division is responsible for delivering safe and pleasant drinking water to the residents of the Town of Chino Valley. The Utility Division operates, maintains, repairs and manages the Town's water sources, wells, treatment and storage facilities.
The Utility division is also responsible for insuring water quality compliance with all state and federal regulatory agencies to include Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency.
Duties
The Utilities Division performs a multitude of duties to ensure the delivery of safe and pleasant drinking water to the residents of Chino Valley which include:
- Arizona Blue Stake Utility Location services
- Compliance monitoring
- Construction observation / inspection and testing
- Cross connection control and back flow prevention program
- Emergency response to infrastructure failure
- General maintenance
- Meter services
- Special projects
- System improvement
- System monitoring and documentation
