Zoning

The Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) sets forth the requirements for regulating the manner and placement of specific uses throughout town.  The regulations coincide with the Zoning Map, which shows the location of all zoning districts in Chino Valley.  Relevant information includes permitted uses and conditional uses, separation of structures from property boundaries, building heights, densities, and other important information.

Standards for subdivisions and Planned Area Developments, streets and roads, landscaping, outdoor lighting, keeping of livestock, and other requirements can also be found in the UDO.  The Zoning Administrator (ZA) is responsible for interpretation of the UDO; decisions of the ZA can be appealed to the Board of Adjustment.
